Made with only t h r e e ingredients, this ice cream is a super healthy alternative to your traditional dairy & sugar based blend. When bananas are frozen and then pureed using a high powered blender (like a Vitamix or Blendtec) or a food processor, the consistency is almost exactly like “ice cream”. For this recipe I added cacao powder & peanut butter but there are so many different variations I could think of. So I’m going to make a few different varieties throughout the summer.
When you make this recipe make sure the bananas are not too ripe. This will over power the flavor. You want them to be just ripe (without a lot of brown spots).
